I was named after a Finnish golfer when I was born. My grandmother is Finnish and my grandfather was an avid golfer, thus my name was given with this particular spelling. I like the spelling, however, everyone always thinks it is spelled incorrectly and automatically change it to the single "i" spelling. I can remember when I was in kindergarten and my teacher was constantly telling me that I was spelling my name the wrong way. My mom finally had to tell her that I was doing it right. I like being different with such a basic name.
