I've noticed that names that are associated with a specific place (in this case, Massachusetts) tend to be unpopular in that specific place (like Brooklyn in New York).
I am trying to learn Irish Gaelic, and I can't get past the meaning of the name, "ugly head"
I didn't know the name Kennedy meant "ugly head". Now that I know, I would not name a kid Kennedy.

I have always really loved having the name Kennedy. I think it's unique and fairly uncommon, but not enough for it to ever be pronounced incorrectly.
One thing that can be a tiny bit annoying is that people frequently misspell it as "Kenedy"

my 3 year old daughter is named Kennedy. we call her Kenny or Kenna. she's a little bit of a tomboy so it fits perfectly!
My family in the south calls me Kenny, but I've never really liked that, and where I live, it would be strange to go by that. However, a lot of people call me Kenn, and I don't mind that at all! :)
