People usually love my daughters name but it is mistaken sometimes for Makenzie.
I have the same issue with my daughter. They automatically assume Kenzie is a nickname for Makenzie. It drives me crazy. If I say her name is Kenzie then why address her as Makenzie?? Lol

Personal experiences with the name Kenzie: | Edit

My daughters name is Kenzie. We were having a tough time finding the right name for her, I was reading a magazine and this woman's (an actress I believe) last name was Kinsey. I asked my husband what he thought, changed the spelling and the rest is history =)

I have twin girls, one of which is Kenzie. She is named after my dad who passed away. His name was Ken. I always knew when I had a child I would name him/her after my father. If one was a boy they probably would have been Kent or some variation of that. Her twin sisters name is Kadyn.

My name is Kenzie and i can't stand when people call me McKenzie...I love my Name:)

I named my daugther Kenzi because my partner and I liked MacKenzie but hated the thought of her being called Mac. So my mom suggested that since we wanted people to call her Kenzi why not just name her Kenzi. That's what we did ... we love it and get so many compliments on how pretty her name is.(and it's just and "I" because my nickname is Tori with just and 'I' and my partner wanted to keep that :)
