At birth, my given name was Kiowa. My Mother wanted an original name and during the 1970's ( I was born in 1975) they were generally accepted. For a little girl, the shortened name of Ki is easy to spell and unusual. This is a wonderful choice for a parent who wishes to have a unique name. It is Unisex and is an interesting name for either a boy or girl.

A nation of American Indians who migrated from what now is Canada to their present location in Southwestern Oklahoma. Today the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma is federally recognized, with approximately 14,000 members.
