- Comments and insights on the name Kristy: | Edit
The spelling of the name with a "K" instead of a "C" is often used to disassociate the name with the names "Christian" or "Christiane" or "Christine". People I've met with this name, who do not practice the Christian religion, say the "Kr" spelling, rather than the "Chr" spelling, makes the name "secular". I don't think this is necessarily true, but I thought I'd add this for the sake of name trivia.
- Personal experiences with the name Kristy: | Edit
My little sister is named Kristy (born 1995) and she does have to explain how to spell it a lot. People tend to assume it is spelled with a C. Also, sometimes people mishear her name and call her Chrissy. However, she likes the uniqueness of her name and told me she is happy she is not just another Sam as her class has a lot of Sams both male and female.
