My best friend is named Kyra.
My daughter is named Kyra.
The Kyra I know is small and a model.
My sister's name is Kyra. She loves it.
My name is Kyra (pronounced Keera). Growing up I didn't love it, because it was so uncommon. I never found it on a keychain. No one could ever spell or pronounce it. I still constantly get called Kyra, like Tyra with a K. Teachers, doctors, basically anyone who has to read my name aloud for the first time. And most people spell it Kira. However, as I've grown up, I've come to adore it. I love the sound of it. And I love that it's uncommon. It makes me really happy when people learn to pronounce it or better yet get it right the first time. And I've only met one person with the same spelling and pronunciation. It's pretty annoying being in a class with one other Kyra, I can't imagine having a super popular name.
