This was the name I had picked out for a daughter, but I ended up having two sons (and chose different names for them...I prefer the name Lane for a girl).
My name is Lane and I like it because it is different. I have only heard of one other woman by this name and she spelled it Layne. The biggest confusion I have had is that I am often called (E)laine. My name was given to me through inspiration so to me that makes it even more special. The narrow path is what God has called me to.
