"Waking Up Alice" is the 1st book of poetry by Letitia D. Fowler. Accidentally the nurse spelled her name as Latitia on her birth certificate. Because her mother and family pronounces her name as: La-tish-ah; as oppose to Lae-tee-sha.
- Personal experiences with the name Letitia: | Edit
I love having this name, although my parents (and I) pronounce it Le-tish-a rather than la-teesh-a, which I prefer, but each to their own. I was named after the middle name of a distant relative which my parents heard and thought was beautiful. I'm Tish (and many variations of this) to most of my friends and relatives, but Letitia in the workplace and I love both. I have hardly come across many other Letitia's in my lifetime (30yrs) and enjoy it's uniqueness and I always get comments on what a beautiful name it is.
