Comments and insights on the name Lily: | Edit

A friend of mine had a beautiful little girl named Lily and the name suited her so perfectly - she had silvery blond hair and blue eyes. Since that matches the coloring of my husband, there's a chance we could have a daughter with the same coloring, and I would name her Lily because it's so feminine and soft.

Personal experiences with the name Lily: | Edit

Lily is actually a shortening of my long name. The nickname has been stuck with me since I was born, mainly because it’s short, simple, and sweet. I like it.

My full name is Lillian and I've been called Lily my whole life. It's short and sweet, and people say I fit it well. I've also grown into it fairly well. As a child I expected to transition back to Lillian but it's a great name in all settings.
