Comments and insights on the name Linda: | Edit

It is my mother's name and sounds very much of her generation. But my niece is Anna Linda which sounds fresher.

Linda is an example of how much a name can date a person. All Lindas seem to be between 45 and 65.

Growing up in the 80's-90's in Australia, there were quite a few Lindas in my classes, so I don't see it as an 'older' name.

Personal experiences with the name Linda: | Edit

I was named after my Aunt Linda. And am a wee 41 years old. I love my name given that it isn't very common. And never with a "y". The rare person will call me Lynn, which I find endearing. One person calls me Lindy Hop. Another Linda Lu. My British mother often drops the vowel at the end of words and adds a "r", even to my name and therefore I've given myself the nickname of "linder".
