Personal experiences with the name Lindsay: | Edit

This name was super popular (second after only Jennifer) among the girls I went to high school with. This was the most common spelling, but there were also Lindseys, Lyndsays, Lyndseys, Linseys, and Lynseys. It's a nice enough name, but like Crystal and Tiffany, it also screams, "I was born in the early '80s!"

Thought to mean "isle of the linden trees", "isle of snakes" or "linden tree marsh" The snake reference can be traced back to tuetonic german - lindis means snake in old-german.
