My name is Lissa (short for Elisabeth). People that I have casually know for years continuously either call me Alissa or Lisa. I don't think that they hear the difference.

My name is Lissa not short for anything prefer that it would have been spelled Lyssa. I have had a life of being called Lisa, Alissa, Melissa, Linda...the list goes on. I also get the following comment alot: Oh Lisa with 2 s's that is different. That would be different if my name was Lisa. Parents if you consider the name please spell it with a Y rather than an I.
