Comments and insights on the name Lois: | Edit

Rather dull, old name. Would not bestow this name on any child in this generation.

On the contrary, I find Lois classic and beautiful. It's far more unusual and fresher-sounding these days than any "modern" name like Harper or Mackenzie.

I think Lois is a pretty-sounding name. But like the above said, no child in this generation is given this name. It does tend to sound like an older person's name. But hopefully it'll make a comeback.

I'm a Lois who has hated the name all my life. Many people mispronounce and misspell it as "Louis." It sounds like an older person's name because it is. For the sake of this generation and future ones, this name should be retired to the history books.

Personal experiences with the name Lois: | Edit

Lois is my sister's name.

One of my dearest friends is named Lois. She is one of the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful people I know! This name has that meaning for me.

My name is Lois, and growing up my friends and family have called me Lola. I've never really liked my name, but hopefully I will grow into it.

My mom's name is Lois. It's amazing ow many people can't spell or pronounce it. They try to change it to Louis, or Louise. Seriously...it's just not that hard!
