Ridiculously masculine.
^ to the above comment. I am a 22 year old GIRL Madison and my name has never been mistaken for a boys name. Although it's become a very popular name of late, I was the only Madison/Maddie in my class, and my moniker fits me perfectly. It's strong, but still has a dash of girly. If you are considering the name, you have heard it from a wife/soon-to-be mother/professional named Madison that it's a great name. The only downfall is that it's so popular now that it's almost becoming the new "Jennifer" or "Ashley" - good luck to all you Mommies and/or Name Lovers!
^ I agree. I am an 18 year old male named Madison, and I have met dozens of females with my name, but no other males. A few of the Madisons I've met use a more femenine form like Madisyn, but the majority use the male form. I either use my middle name "William", or use a nickname like "Mady" which people mistake as "Matty" to differentiate myself.
