well i dont know the back story for the name but i know when i was born my mom didnt have a name for me
so the doctor said "when you pick a name MAIL IT IN"...so my mom was like perfect "mailyn"...so my name is acctually pronouced mail-in not may-lyn lol...but i just get people to call my may lol

Well I love my name toobut it sucks when people miss pronouce how to say it. There are many forms of saying Mailyn. such as (May-lyn, Maylean, And My-lean) Neither form is wrong. I pronouce mine as MY-lean. Mailyn origen is to china actually it means flower.
