My name is Naomi. I wouldn't recommend it simply because it is constantly mispronounced. People call me NI-omi, which I hate (it's NAY-omi, in case you were wondering). It sucked to be a kid with an unusual name that people couldn't pronounce.

^I totally agree with that. My name is Naomi too and it's annoying how people say NIomi. I usually don't realize it though.

I named my daughter Naomi as it is the type of name that has a genuine history and cannot be corrupted by silly nicknames. In the book of names I used, Naomi meant wise and pleasant and Erica (her middle name) was for ruler, after Eric the Red. So my lovely daughter will become a wise and pleasant ruler! Secretary-General of the UN maybe?

my name is Naomi Jayne i love the name i think it's soooooo pretty and i don't know a single person named Naomi!!!!!!! i think it's pretty clasic, like the person before me said, it has no silly nicknames!!!!! i love it and deffinetly would recomend naming your daughter this name because i'm 16 and i think it's a beautiful timless name she will love forever!

^^okay im not even joking my name is Naomi Jayne too! Even Jayne spelt with a "Y" :L and im 16 :L no offence but I dont like our name :L id much rather it was something like Naomi Elise of something less boring :L and one of my best friends is called Naomi Saskia which I think is nice :)
