I really like this name for a boy. To me, the more feminine Oceana is more appropriate for a girl. Ocean relays strong and powerful imagery which would make me think of a boy. The god of the sea is Neptune or Poseidon is a man not a woman.

This definitely seems like a feminine name to me. Although I agree, Poseidon or Neptune seem masculine to me. Of course, there are sea goddesses as well!

Once at the playground, a mother was with her kids and their friends.Her daughter was named Ocean and every 5 secounds they were all calling out "Ocean, Ocean!" It seemed,because of her unique name.
