Olive gets left behind on the rush to Olivia. People barely notice this hidden gem of a name.
REALLY dislike this name...just don't see the appeal AT ALL!
Planning on changing my name to Olive.
I struggle with this name because I am in love with it!!! It's short and sweet and pretty and I LOVE IT!! BUT, it's Olive, as in olive oil, olives, olive tree. It's still so cute though.
My name is Olive. And I LOVE IT! I only ever get compliments. My middle name is Sophia. Olive Sophia. Whenever anyone comments on olive oil, olive trees, and olives; it's usually as a joke. I know 4 Olivia's, 3 Sophia's, and 4 Abigail's; which makes me love my name even more.

My daughter's name is Frances Olive. I LOVE her name. But we just found out we're having another girl and I wish I saved Olive for a first name.
Name the next one Olive Frances.
I used this name--for my daughter born in 2011. Grandparents thought it was weird at first; I'm glad we made the decision not to reveal the name until after baby was here. Several people have mistaken her name for Olivia.
I like Olivia but I don't like Olive - I don't like the taste of olives, for one thing, and the name always makes me think of Popeye and Olive Oyl.
I very much disagree with you. My name is Olive and I love it. Olivia is so overused, it fact I know 4 Oliva's. But I'm the only Olive I know. And Olive didn't become a name because of the plant olive or the character Olive Oyl. The NAME Olive is a symbol or peace and harmony. As a side note I must say I rather dislike the taste of olives either.
Olive Oyl and her brother Cole.
My grandmas name was Olive, going to use this as a middle name if I have a daughter
