I just think that it is a beautiful name. If I ever have another daughter,I'm naming her Paige.

A good name for a writer's child!

I have always loved the name Paige! I think it is really cute and that a girl named Paige would be super friendly! I bet that if I had a daughter, I would TOTALY name her Paige.

Personal experiences with the name Paige: | Edit

My name is Paige and overall I've had a pretty good experience with it. It has become much more popular in recent years, but in the '80s, when I was a kid, it was rare. I didn't have much trouble with teasing when I was in elementary school, and as I've gotten older, I've learned to really appreciate that my name is unique. While Kates, Laurens, Sarahs, Elizabeths, etc. abound, I am almost always the only Paige in the room.

My name is Paige and you always get compared to the word paper.

My sister likes her name a lot. I like to call her pudge.

My mom's name is Paige, and she HATES it. She got teased a ton as a kid, and she hated it. Now, she says she's used to it, but she still despises it. It's a really boring name.

My name is Paige, and I did hate it growing up. I couldn't get away with anything! No one had my name in the whole state, I swear! My parents named all 5 of their children with names beginning with "P." But then again, try growing up with parents named Phyllis and Paul. My family in age order sounds like a song (if you say it fast): Phyllis, Paul, Paul, Paige, Pamelyn, Patrice, and Phillip!!!!!

My best friend's name is Paige Marie, but at school people call her Poppy Paige, and sometimes the teachers spell her name Payge, Paihge, or Page; so she goes by Marie and she hates her name! She always says it sounds like page. I think it's really pretty though.

My name is Paige and I hate it!!!!! I get made fun of a lot for it.

My sister's name is Paige. Growing up in the 70s was tough for her as the name was quite uncommon! Lots of 'page' jokes. It's a pretty name, though, and has always suited my sister.

My name is Paige, and at first I didn't really like it. Now that I know what it means, also combined with my middle and last names' meanings, I respect it and it's uniqueness. One thing that I've become used to is when at school and the teacher goes to call out the page number to turn to, but can't think of it. They say, "Turn to page..." I've become accustomed to it and usually prepare for it to happen.

My name is Payge and it is misspelt everyday by people I have known for years as 'paige' or 'page'. Whenever I meet a new person they make the 'page' joke, as though they think they are the first person to make that joke to me. I am the only person with this name in my town so everyone knows that if someone mentions my name they are talking about me. Personally I like my name, but I think if my name was spelt 'paige' I wouldn't like it. It is very annoying to have it spelt with a Y though, as websites are constantly correcting my name and telling me I must change it to 'Paige', and going to places like Starbucks is horrible. Twice I''ve said 'Paige with a Y' and they've spelt it Ypaige and Yaige....what the hell? why would that be my name?

Paige is my sisters middle name so we named one of our twins Paige Maddison after her aunt. She is my 3rd child and she is the oldest twin, they are 5. Her twin is named Elise Karley. I love the name Paige but I am not a fan of the meaning, although it means a lot to our family personally.

Being named Paige and growing up in the 90's wasn't very easy it being previously just middle name or a last name.. and like pretty much every Paige here.. I was picked on alot; page (page/web page), "turn the page", pager (thankfully I remember my parents' beepers/the loud speaker), chapter, novel, "what page number are you," "have you ever turned yourself Paige," and so MANY more words and phrases and different uses of insults in the book of Paige... y'see what i did there?? huh? huh? XD The point is I've gotten made fun of it in so many.. and being 30 I find it funny that kids today think they can pick on me (apparently I look like an age of 17 year old.. which tbh i'm not to thrilled with.. no matter what others say).. and then they get appalled that I'm not their age at all and that none of what they say or how they phrase it.. I can easily make fun of my name on my own easily.
Also being someone who is into writing, voice acting, and other creative arts and who is fairly decent at the least at many... I'd say I'm honored to be named Paige (since like a previous commenter said about a writer's kid should be named, Paige/Page and Paige O'Hara the voice of Belle from Disney's 1991 Beauty and the Beast i think it's awesome for me personally).
My suggestion to parents who want to name their kid Paige/Page.. keep in mind name calling/name picking on will happen (but it may be worse for any boys who may be named Paige/Page.. due to it being a girl's first and middle name for years already ... which if anything I suggest making the spelling "Page" so it's a variant spelling for the common first name spelling, "Paige").
To all/any of the other girls named, Paige/Page (current and in the future). If you can make fun of yourself including your name.. bullies and Jacka$$ will have lose a lot of things/words to say to you.
Also girls i don't know if you noticed but quite a few celebrities are dating, married, and even having children with a woman who is named Paige (for example; Josh Peck married and has a son with one and Frankie Munez was dating one.. unless they are still together (and may have gotten married).
If there was anything I didn't like about my name, is that it's the meaning. But if anything.. since it means from someone who is in training to be a knight.. then maybe take it as you are always willing to protect the ones you love and care about most. Even if you fail to as times... don't give up your "training." And if you are a tomboy or do have a tomboy and you name her Paige or do meet one in the future who is... and she thinks it's a name that's too girly/feminine.. let her know this analogy. I'm sure those girls will be a lil happier to know they can be just as valiant, brave, noble, and as much chivalry as boys do.
Don't loose faith in your name.. because "Paige" isn't the only name that gets made fun of. There are plenty of other names that get made fun of whether they have been in the past or not (if anything it'd be due to movie/screen/songs/etc.).
xoxo A Tomboy named Paige since 1989 (who does drag kinging on the side.. with a different name :P)
