My daughter's name is Quinn and she is always complimented on her name. It is easy to write short to pronounce and she never had to deal with having two Quinn's in her class. It is unique and beautiful.
She has to deal with people thinking her name is Gwen if she says it too softly and everyone thinking that it is a boy's name.
My daughter's name is Quinn. People think it is Gwen and HATE people calling her Quinny. Makes me cringe. The nurses in the hospital called her Quinn the Queen which stuck with me calling her that. Happy Queen.
Every since I was a little girl and heard the song "The Mighty Quinn," I wanted to name my first born son Quinton, calling him "Quinn" for short. When the time finally arrived and I was thinking of baby names for either a boy or a girl, I settled on something else for a boy, Quinn just didn't feel right. However, when I found out I was having a little girl, the name "Quin" felt perfect. Yes, I spell it with one "n" and I call her "Q." She introduces herself as "Quin with one n," "The Mighty Quinn," or "Quinn the Eskimo." She is beautiful, smart, logical, and insightful. She is the "The Mighty Quin."
