My grandmother's name, who immigrated from Norway at age 18 and would now be about 110. The pronunciation is Rahn-ya, which is infinitely better than the presumed Rag-na. She went by "Rae" because Americans didn't get the right pronunciation. I have seen Raina pronounced Rahn-ya, but usually pronounced Rain-ah.

September 6, 2010: My name is Ragna. I was born in Sweden in 1953. I immigrated to America with my family when I was 6 years old. The proper pronunciation is Rahng-nah.
