I always tell people it has Russian origin. I like that my name is vaguely unique without being over the top. Bad experiences with the name Sasha are people jokingly calling me Salsa, Sausage, or Sushi. As a child it used to bother me but now I don't care.I think it's a very powerful name for a young lady.
