Frequently mispronounced as "Shooler." It's really annoying.
My name is Schuyler, and I love the name. Yes, a lot of people are cutting it up, as usual, but it's okay. And yes, Schuler or Skylar is how it's always misspelled, which is annoying. I am now 32 years old.
My name is Schuyler, and I like it a lot. The origin at the top of the page is incorrect; Schuyler is from Dutch origins and came way before Skyler or Skylar. There is the problem of mispronunciations, SHOO-LER and SHKWEEL-ER to name a couple, but I don't mind too much. Once you tell people the correct pronunciation, they rarely mispronounce it again. I also very frequently get compliments on my name.
