Sequoia is the name of my husband's ex-wife's granddaughter. Her sister's name is MacKalen, a family name.

It's my niece's name... I hope she grows up to be tall!

This is my five-year-old daughter's name. She is quite tall - in the 100% percentile! I hope the qualities she takes from this name are strength and longevity. Also, she was born in California - where the sequoia redwood is the state tree. We have one growing right next to our house. :)
