I think this name is getting more popular in Southern California. My mom keeps hearing more baby girls being named Solana.

Personal experiences with the name Solana: | Edit

We named my daughter Solana since it was Spanish (I'm half Mexican), meant Sunshine, and gave tribute to where my husband and I met- San Diego. It was ethnic, but not hard to pronounce or spell (for the most part) and had a cute nickname, Lana, if she wanted it (though we call her "sissy" more than anything. I've gotten great reactions from friends and strangers when they hear her name ("how beautiful!") but everyone always wants to know how to spell it.
