Comments and insights on the name Talia: | Edit

My name is Talia, and I find that when I introduce my self people who don't reconize my name usually repeat it as Natalia. Talia is a hebrew name, and can be shortened to Tali.

I love this name! It's cute and unique for a little girl, but also modern and mature for a woman.

Talia can also be pronounced tə-LEE-ə and TA-lee-ə.

Personal experiences with the name Talia: | Edit

I am a Talia, born in Australia in 1984. People often mishear my name as Carly or Sally on the phone. It is often spelt Tahlia by people when they have only heard it. Neither of these things bother me because I am used to it.
However, people often comment that they never met an adult Talia, that a friend/relative just named their baby Talia or that it is a pretty name.
My mother chose it bacause she was a teacher and had associations (both good and bad) with so many other names.
