Telephassa in song, story & screen: | Edit

In Greek mythology Telephassa was the mother of Cadmus (later to found Thebes and then get transformed into a serpent through the wrath of the gods. Poor Telephassa went through a lot.) In some versions of the myth Telephassa travels with her son in pursuit of her daughter, Europa, who was carried off by Zeus. Unfortunately in these versions she dies before the journey is through.
