my daughters name is tigerlily,, ive always loved this name,, but she was called so many different names until the day i had her,,which was also my birthday, i knew i needed too give her a special name,,ive gotten mixed reviews from people they either love it or just plain dont like it.Im a big lover of nature,an mother earth so there are so many reasons why i love tis name an here are just a few, its a flower,,which also has an amazin animal in its name,,its strong but also pretty,,i think its a cool name an its stands out,,.an at the least in roll call in school they;ll only be the one, i hope.

Tigerlily (the flower) can not only grow wild without any assistance from humans, it is favoured by a lot of gardeners for being easy going, and can thrive in most environments. Not only is it a beautiful flower but has being written about in poems through history as far back as 1880's.

Originally from north america,, it was said if you smelt a tigerlily it would give you freakles on your face, hence, the black speckles on the flower.

There is also a asteroid called tigerlily it was discovered, I think, in 2005.

Woody Allen also made a film called What's up, Tigerlily??

The British group La Roux has a song called Tigerlily.
