Brother to James and Leah

We’re expecting a boy soon—a little brother to James and Leah. We’ve struggled finding a name that fits the sibling set well and doesn’t clash with our last name. At first we only considered biblical names, but weren’t landing on anything we both loved (that worked with the above criteria). We’re pretty sure we’ve now decided on

Miles

Runner-up is Wesley. But even though I think that’s a cute name, I’m feeling like it’s too “out there” for our sib set and style(?)

Does Miles fit well with the other names—or is it weird that it’s not a biblical name like the others?

one place suggests this The name Miles is a Hebrew baby name. In Hebrew the meaning of the name Miles is: Who is like God? Gift from God. The Latin word “miles” means ‘soldier’ or some such military attribute due to its association with Michael (the soldier angel of God) Myles in Ireland may well derive from the Gaelic names Maol Íosa (devotee of Jesus)

Also the Bible talks about miles.  Wesley is link to Protestant religions - Charles Wesley.  Not really sure either name really go

James Leah and Levi/Jude/Joel  Andrew, Matthew, Benjamin, Simon, Reuben, Samuel, Peter, Michael, Nathan, Daniel, Isaac, Zackary, Thomas, Benjamin, Jesse, Mark, Aaron, Micah, Silas Saul Marcus Samson Eli Levi Ezra Jonathan Paul Philip Seth Alexander Adam Aaron Ethan Asher

Miles is a great choice and goes nicely with the siblings' names.  James and Leah don't strike me as particularly biblical.  It's not like you're considering Daxtyn, little brother to Nehemiah and Mehitabel. :)

I think that they sound great together and would not at all be surprised to hear this sibset! They are all a similar style IMO- very classic and strong. I honestly would not have heard James and Leah together and automatically thought "biblical" at all.

The sibset’s names fit very well together and sound traditional and strong. To be honest, I did not make the biblical connection until it was mentioned. Miles, Leah and James sound lovely and powerful together.

I think James, Leah and Miles works really well as a sib set and the biblical thing would not have occurred to me at all (but in fairness I am not a religious person).

I actually wouldn't blink at the combination of James, Leah and Wesley either, I really don't think it's that "out there". Miles probably does fit a tiny bit better though and it sounds like you are happier with it which is the main thing.

I like them both with James and Leah. Miles probably a little bit more, but I wouldn't be surprised by either of them.
