Collection of intriguing/surprising names we've found

The other day I looked at a flier for an art festival and was struck by a small institution with two rare and intriguing women's names out of a list of about 4 employees: Tac1ta and Phyll1da (sorry about the numbers--I think one is actually a well-non artist and may not appreciate the attention from us NEs).  I was suprised, but the stylish art world context seems to breed this kind of creativity, assuming that was also the world in which they were named...

Other intriguing name clusters you're encountering in your daily lives?  Tell us a bit about the context too.

Sorry for the length! I had to cut many great names but included some of the ones I found most interesting. A lot of the names are a generation (or two!) out of step; I attribute that to immigrant parents who don't realize that Kimberly, Doris and Lester are no longer the height of fashion. I always take note when my kids say someone has a "weird" name, because they are exposed to so many different names that I can't imagine anything would strike them as weird!

That's an awesome list of names!

Here's my contribution of a fun list of names from my cousin's preschool.  He lives in Holland and goes to an English-speaking preschool; most of his classmates' parents are diplomats and various government officials.

Tingkai

Lukas

Vladislav

Jack

Swan (girl)

Gideon

This is only a partial list, but you can still see the diversity!  When I asked my cousin where all of his friends were from, he listed about 20 countries and knew exactly who is from where!  Not bad for a 6 year old
