Do You Prefer...

Lili gave me an idea for this game - just post what your preference is for the spelling of a name and why you like it!  Then you come up with a name with multiple spellings (it can be more than two, and of either gender) to ask the next person.  As an example:

Poster 1

Eric or Erik?

Poster 2

Eric - it looks less feminine.

Clare or Claire?

Poster 3

Clare - (and so on)

I'll start - Tabitha or Tabatha?

Catherine - the other way looks more dated to me.  Kathryn is not bad either.

Eliot - I think Elliott is nice too and feels balanced but I kind of love the little streamlined Eliot

Quinton - spells like it's normally pronounced, although I have a positive association with someone with the spelling Quentin.  Quinten is not bad either.

(Tough one for me)

Hailey - seems like the one that doesn't have a celebrity or personal association tied to it without an unusual spelling, but I like many of them (Hayleigh has especially grown on me recently).  Not sure what the most common is, but I've also seen Hayley, Hailie, and Haili.

Caitlin, Caitlyn, Kaitlyn, Kaitlynn, Kaitlynne, Katelyn, or Katelynn?

Elliot- It seems more streamlined but really I think it was the first way I saw it. I think Eliot is my least favorite, it seems incomplete.
