So true about Graham Harrison, thanks!  I would love to pronounce Graham Gray-em but not sure how well that will work for us.

Oliver can also be a surname, and Everett. Jamie Oliver and Rupert Everett come to mind.

With celebrities whose last names sound like first names, I usually assume they're stage names formed out of the individual's first and middle names.

I love the name Grayson  I do not know why. I lo e it and the nickname Gray. For girl or boy.

How about Grayson Oliver Shultz.

Graham and Everett are two of my top three boys names so I'm going to have to cast a vote for Graham Everett. Love the name and sounds great with big bro and sis!

I like Graham the best with Ava and Julian, but I say it just like the cracker.

I'm not sure whether that's a regional thing.

I do like Harrison very much as well. My favorite is Harrison Jude. My favorite with Graham is Everett.

Did we rule out Grant long ago? It does seem like the logical middle between Graham and Harrison.

Two fine choices, really!

I like Graham best with the sibling names.  I'm torn between Graham Oliver & Graham Harrison.  Does one have more meaning for you than the other?  If so, I'd say go with that one.

FWI, Harrison Jude did make me think of the Beatles, but I think it's a more subtle nod that not everyone would catch right away (personally, I kind of like it).  However, Hey Jude was written for Julian Lennon, so I would personally hesitate about using Jude when you already have a Julian.

I would go with Graham over Harrison because I have 2 boys with the same number of syllables and both ending in -n, and they feel too similar. They get mixed up a lot. Julian and Harrison might be too similar.

I like Oliver for the middle because it matches better with your other middles - more traditional.

So my vote is Graham Oliver.

My maiden name is Julian and no one ever pronounced my name with three syllabes even though it is with three - it comes out more like 'Jul - yun' then 'Jul - i - an' , so I don't think Julian and Harrison will be an issue.

I had the same thought and vote for Graham for the same reason!

I much prefer Graham Oliver for you, personally, I think it's the only surname name I like. Also, Grant is very handsome, have you thought of that one?

January 17, 2016 12:40 PM

I vote either Graham Everett. I love it! I also love Graham Harrison and Harrison Grey.

I agree with PP that Graham works better with the sibling names, to avoid 2 -n endings.  Graham Everett is my favorite, but Graham Oliver sounds nice too.

I like Graham Oliver best, but I also think Harrison Grey is kind of cool.

Harrison Grey is my favourite, but I think Graham Oliver goes better with siblings' names.

January 20, 2016 7:25 PM

My vote is for Graham Oliver, or second choice Graham Everett. I think that they fit best with your other kid's names.

January 21, 2016 10:15 PM

My brother's name is Jeffrey Alexander Julian!  As my maiden name is Julian - love it!

I def go with Harrison.  I think it is a superior choice to Graham.  No kid wants to be teased about Graham crackers his whole childhood.

I like Harrison Jude - that is a pretty cool manly name.

First of all, all of the names you list appeal to me, so I don't think you can go wrong.

I prefer Graham, but that is purely a personal preference. Both would work well with the sibling names (although as a Beatles fan I might catch the Julian and Harrison references).

I, like you, love Graham (or Graeme) pronounced Grey-um most but am not bothered that in the US it would be Gram to most people. As far as middle names I think Everett and Oliver work well but will put in my vote for Oliver as it is a bit more of a traditional name to match the other middles as well as giving each their own middle initial (which really does not matter but when deciding between two great names you have to start somewhere!)

So, overall, my pick would be Graham Oliver. But, as I said before, they are all great names.

I like Graham Harrison with your other two. Harrison as a first name is a little too rhymy with Julian.

February 15, 2016 12:03 AM

Graham and Harrison are both great names, but I agree with others that Graham seems better with Ava and Julian.  I like Oliver best in the middle because it flows well and is a classic name like Alexander.

I love all your kids' names and you can't go wrong with either of these!
