Nonuplets-naming 9 babies at once

Karla Vanessa Perez from Mexico is currently pregnant with 9 babies. She is due on May 20th according to this article here:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/27/karla-vanessa-perez-pregnant-9-babies_n_1457990.html?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl2%7Csec3_lnk1%26pLid%3D155877

I wish her the best and am not sure how I personally would cope with 9 babies at once but - what would you name these 9 babies if it were yourself? There are 6 girls and 3 boys. (You don't have to do middles but I like to.)

Throwing a little Spanish flair into this one because the Nymbler game has shown me some new interesting names that I like. Also because you fellow NE's are probably sick of seeing every list I create start with Jessica and Brian LOL!

Girls: Alida Sofia; Valencia Grace; Talia Francesca; Zayda Gabrielle; Mirella Celene; Paloma Isobella

Boys: Quentin Miguel; Domenic Marcos; Pablo Ignacio

Interesting set of names November. I like how you connected them all with the C mn's but the embroidery place may have to give you a discount with all those RC, LC and JC names!

I actually did that on purpose - I figure that with that many, you're going to be relying on tags and initials for clothing for a good long time.  It's faster and easier if they can share clothes in sets (well, the poor boys may end up in pink socks at some point...).  I also figure that way, you can separate out the kidlets out easier when you're on the move - "Ok, mom, you've got the Ls, I've got the Js, and hubby can take the Rs."

LOL! Good thinking actually.

Fun game, whether true or not!

Given I already have an Astrid Elodie I'd pick for the next 9:

Cordelia Delphine

Ariadne Allegra

Zinnia Clementine

Juliet Mathilde

Saskia Genevieve

Juniper Xanthe

August Casper

Cormac Silas

Soren Alasdair

Lana Penelope (Penelope/Penny)

Julia Hazel

Emma Louise

Tessa Catherine

William Clark (William/Will)

Frederick James (Frederick/Freddie)

love that you have Delphine on your list! It's my grandma's name, and I'd love to use it as a mn to honor her (or Eloise, as Louise & Lois are mns for about 5 generations running in my fam)

6 girls and 3 boys is hard and then trying to choose Spanish names...even harder.  However, I LOVE Spanish names and DH would NEVER let me use any for our own children so I will indulge my inner Latina with this list:

Liliana Alma
Clara Lourdes
Isabela Teresa
Maribel Susana
Viviana Margarita
Maria Guadalupe

Javier Mariano
Manuelo Jorge
Juan Miguel

Ok--I'm going with my husband has no say, extended family duplicates don't matter, and our last name doesn't matter. ;-)

Girls:

Katherine Joy

Sophia Grace

Amelia Faith

Margaret Hope

Charlotte True

Eleanor Peace

Boys:

Benjamin Alexander

Jonathan Matthew

Nathaniel James

No duplicate initials, but a first name with multiple nickname options with a middle name to tie them together. :-)

Ok, for fun, using the assumption that DH has no say and not taking the surname into account, and not reusing the names of my actual kids or anything that would be too close for siblings:

Sylvia June

Beatrix Susannah

Hyacinth Adele

Rosamond Pearl

Virginia Margaret

Anthea Adelheid

--

Silas Isaiah

August Pascal

Orson Shepherd

(hmm, not sure why the spacing is so wide, sorry!  How did you guys get your lists to appear single-spaced?)

Not considering DH's opinion, since we can barely agree on one name, let alone nine:

  • Juliet Phoebe
  • Genevieve Rosamund
  • Amalia Cecily
  • Felicity Violet
  • Mariel Ysemay
  • Lila Cordelia
  • Thomas Raphael
  • James Percival
  • Jonathan Graham

I probably way over-analyzed the feelings of fictional babies in the process of doing this, but here's what I ended up with:

  • Joan Catherine
  • Amy Judith
  • Miriam Felicity
  • Elizabeth Diane
  • Lucy Claire
  • Rebecca Louise
  • Philip Theodore
  • Benjamin Andrew
  • Stephen Matthew

Well, if I don't have to worry about DH's opinion, to go with Sebastian and Alexander:

Girls:
Penelope Josephine
Coraline Marianne
Rosalie Adelaide
Felicity Eloise
Georgiana Louisa
Eleanore Charlotte

Boys:
Oliver William
Edward Spencer
Jolyon Thomas

I already have a Gunnar Frederick (Jack) but let's pretend I get pregnant again and it's nine instead of one...

Boys (Middle names are after my two brothers and my husband's brother)

  • James Nicholas
  • Anthony Eric
  • Gabriel John

Girls - I had to get a little creative since I really only have one or two favorite girl names! I threw in some family names and some secret wouldn't-really-use names too!

  • Cordelia Everly
  • Eleanor Jacqueline
  • Lillian Juliet
  • Arwen Cecily
  • Vivienne Maria
  • Celeste Antionette

I assumed the names need to be easily pronounced by Spanish speakers.  I also picked different initials (which was hard!) so that I can label things. :)

1.  Brisa

2. Catalina

3. Marbella (pronounced the Spanish way - "Mar-BAY-a")

4. Perla

5. Talia

6. Violeta

Elvita Gracia
Paloma Carmen
Quinta Yoana
Katia Valentina
Felicita Ursula
Nina Bella

Wenceslao Hernandez
Martinez Xavier
Tauro Zacarias

(going with your Spanish theme!)
Sorted!

Okaaay.. So I registered just so I could play this one :D (and other ones too but still..) Here are mine:

6 girls:

Willow Kay
Jamie Alexia
Olivia Paige
Madison Jade
Phoebe Eliza
Kaylie Winter

3 boys:

Connor Matthew
Aiden Oliver
Elliott Chase

I wanted them all to have different initials but to connect them I used the first letters of their last names to create a middle name for an other baby. I actually am pretty proud of this since I LOVE every single name used (with the exeption of Chase and Kay, but hey! not bad)

Gosh, I don't know about having nine at once. But naming nine is the sort of challenge I can take.

I named them in alphabetical order because that's been something I've thought about doing for a while, and if I was having multiples I wouldn't be able to resist. Some are even family names (Brennan was my grandmothers maiden name)  but most are just names that I really like.

Artemis Sage –nn Artie

Brennan Marie- nn Bren

Clio Sophia- I would call her Clio, but my crazy family would probably call her Cleopatra to irritate me.

Daphne James- nn Jamie

Elliot John- nn Eli

Felix Matthew- nn Matt

Grace Simone

Hadley Jane- Haddie

Isaiah Michael

I have always heard Clio pronounced KLEYE-oh, not KLEE-oh like Cleo. It follows the same pattern as other Greek mythological names like Io, Dionysus, Orion, Calliope, Niobe, Priam, etc.

47
December 22, 2013 11:53 PM

That how it is properly pronounced, I believe. But I know a Clio-pronounced-Cleo and I have a feeling that that would be the imediate association that my family would make, so they would call her Cleopatra, even as I'm calling her Clio (with the long 'i').

My family is full of crazy nicknamers. We have a Camey Bo called Cambodia, a Lily I've been calling Lillith since she was born, I go by my middle name, and most of my family will answer to at least 3 names other than the one on their birth cirtificate. The Clio--->Cleo----->Cleopatra leap is so obvious that I know someone will make it.
