Of course now I'm dying to know the name...

Mother can ditch child's middle name, court rules:

I'd bet money the kid's middle name was Adolph.

I'm with nedibes on this: it has to be a name that was perfectly innocuous when the kid was born, else why didn't Mom nix it from the outset? So I'd bet money that it can't possibly be Adolph. But I also don't know enough (read: anything at all) about recent British scandals, so I can't come up with a name that it could be.

Hmm, a mystery. I think it's likely to be something that came to notoreity after the child was named, or else why didn't Mom just nix it then? That suggests Isis (though is the ISIL a "public figure"?) or...I don't know...Donald? I'm not sure who's recently become truly notorious to the point that their name is "infected with negative connotations" in the UK in the past few years.

My vote is that they had named their daughter Theresa with a middle name of May/Mae, and the mother doesn't want to keep hearing the father call their daughter "Theresa May"
