Our baby is here!

Violet Annelies has finally arrived safe and sound three days past her due date :). She weighed 7lbs 11oz and measured 20.5".  Thank you so much to all who gave such thoughtful input on her name.  We are very happy with our choice and glad we chose to move Annelies to the middle spot.  Within our circle of family and friends here in the Midwest, Annelies is giving people pause as they don't know how to spell or pronounce it.  But it is still so meaningful and beautiful to us, so we are very glad she has it for a middle name.  And we are enjoying all the light purple clothing and blankets she is receiving :)

Thank you!  I just realized there was a different forum category for baby announcements....oh well!  it is so fun to watch our other children adore their baby sister!  They are all coming up with different nicknames or affectionate names for her which is interesting...I wonder what she will ultimately be called.  She seems like such a fancy, feminine girl which makes it seem natural to call her Vee-o-letta.  This has prompted some to call her Letta for short.  Before she was born, I don't think I would have given my consent to call her Letta, but now that she is here it seems to fit so well.  Meika, Jonathan, Daniel, Noah and Letta....hmmmm....we'll see :)
