Pottery Barn catalog

Got my Pottery Barn Kids catalog, and so much in monogrammed in there, plus many of the collections are given names, I thought I'd list some of them here:

Girls:

Ella, Olivia, Mia, Anne, Harper, Celia, Bella, Sabrina, Catalina, Rachel, Paige, Annie, Lily, Avery, Payton, Ariel, Carolina, , Addy, Abby, Blair, Tyler, Riley, Lulu, Reese, Ella, Zoey, Sydney, Charlotte, Joycee, Amelia, Kate, Julia, Emma, Leah, Giselle, Caden, Alex, Logan, Grace, Madeline, Whitney, Brooklyn, Madison, Suzanne, Melodie, Jacqueline, Lilly, Blythe, Audrey, Isabella, Sabrina, Claire, Ann, Sophie, Anderson, Divya, Finley, Emmalee, Penny, Ashleighy, Leita, Natasha, Marianne, Maya, Megan, Camille, Eleanor, Savannah, Erica, Amber, Adrianna, Hayley, Danielle, Amanda, Allison, Piper, Penelope, Elizabeth, Catherine, Gabrielle, Susan, Dahlia, Sadie, Lena, Vienna, Ava, Meredith, Chloe, Jane, Courtney, Lana, Lillian, Daisy, Harlington, Simone, Chelsey, Paisley, Lauren, Addison, Lahaina, Maddie

Boys:

Jack, Peter, Tyson, Drew, James, Henry, Geoff, Clayton, Ryan, Kendall, Kingston, Sawyer, Riley, Cameron, Miles, Andrew, Jackson, Stanton, Emmett, Colin, Max, Bryce, Jacob, Mac, Nathan, Justin, Adam, Maxwell, Holden, Liam, Cooper, Jordan, Aidan, Jay, Dylan, Chris, Penn, Jace, Tucker, Owen, Tanner, Hayden, Thomas, Reuben, Marshall, Parker, Taylor, Branson, Larkin, Stuart, Payton, Kennedy, Asher, Stanton, Oliver, Belden, Leo, Noah, Patrick, Chandler, Emerson, Connor, Scott, Brayden, Bennett, Reagan, Skyler, Levi, Alexander, Eli, Corey, Bradley, Morgan, Jake, Colton

It was intersting to see Riley and Payton on both lists. To me, Taylor is a girls' name while Tyler is a boys' name but these are reversed. Morgan on the boys' side surprised me, since the only Morgans I know under the age of 30 are all girls while over that are all boys, so that's actually kind of cool. All the Lily/Lilly/Lillian combos were there minus the Lilian spelling. Some of these scream 70's & 80's to me: Amanda, Allison, Chelsey, Hayley, Courtney, & Amber. So many two syllable boys' names ending in -n. It was rather a fun list. :-)

Ashleighy?? I really don't want to be snarky or mean, but I think that spelling broke my brain a little bit.

That's what I was going to say, minus the proviso on snark. "Should it rhyme with Hawai'i," I was also going to ask, snarkily.

"Broke my brain" is a good way of putting it! It doesn't help that I tend to want to pronounce -leigh as "lay", even though I know it's almost always meant as "lee".

Others that at least bent my brain: Anderson and Harlington -- not because of the spelling, but because they're so totally in the wrong category. I've never actually encountered a Pottery Barn catalog -- are these names monogrammed onto clothing, or are the models named in captions? If they're monograms, could these two be mistakes -- they used the surname instead of the given name?

Aw crum! That's my typo!

Should be Ashleigh.

A few (Suzanne, Susan, Whitney, Marianne, Meredith) seem... outdated to me. On the boys side, none seemed like they wouldn't belong on a young kid (except Mac, which is my grandfather Malcolm's nickname and therefore strikes me as old-fashioned).

I wonder how Leita and Lahaina would be pronounced. I've never heard of either before.

Lahaina is the name of a city in Hawaii. If memory serves, it's pronounced LaHYna.

Pretty good mix of names: trendy names, "dated" names, classic names, unusual names. Just like real life, which is nice.

How do you pronounce Joycee?  I haven't come across that in real life, and all my attempts end up sounding like I'm saying "Jersey" with a bad New Jersey accent.
