Somewhat irreverent suggestion: Scholastica. :-)

Or even more off-the-wall: Science. It actually occurs as a feminine name in medieval English records, apparently as an attempt at rendering the Spanish or Provençal Sancha/Sanchia (derived from Latin sanctus 'holy').

In terms of spelling, I think Sophie is slightly more expected than Sofie, but either will work. Maybe take a suggestion from another thread, and decide according to her birthday: 'f' if it's an odd number, 'ph' if it's even?

I am more into traditional names but I do love the suggestion just not brave enough to use it.

Sophie Science sounds like an awesome name!  I absolutley love it!

i also suggest Sophie Saige, Sophie Sidonee, Sophie Satchelle, Sophie Samara or Sophie Sylias.

Sofie will need some clairification, but I don't think "Sofie with an F" will be a huge issue.  Just pick the one you like best.

Your taste seems to run more classic, so I'll suggest Serafina, Sabine, Samantha & Scarlett

Middle names are best if there's some sort of significance to them. I assume there's a reason you're looking for an S middle name to go with an S first name, so that's significance right there, but is there anything (or anyone) else that could help you narrow the field?

Do you want both names to have the 's' sound (like Sofie Susanna), or would you prefer one of them to have an 'sh' (like Sofie Shae)? How long is your surname, and what sounds are in it? Would a repeated -ee sound in first and middle (like Sofie Serenity) be pleasing with your surname, or too much of a good thing? Full name "flow" seldom comes up in daily life, but when faced with too many choices, it can be a way to decide.

Of your ideas in the main post, I love Susanna. Hidden in the middle, it shouldn't cause annoying singing. :-)

Sofie is an honour name in itself so I am looking to choose something that I just like for the middle name.
