Shock of all shocks-- We had a girl!

Hi NEs!

Popping in to let you know that we had our third child, a daughter, earlier this week. And thanks to your help and discussion, we named her Georgia Geraldine! She is most likely our last child, so our family now consists of S1mon K3lly, H3nrietta Jane, and G3orgia Geraldine. Simon, Hattie, and Georgia. She was named in honor of her great-grandfather George and great-great-grandmother Geraldine

As always, the name feels a bit arbitrary in the newborn phase and I have some second thoughts. But the reaction of friends and family has been great, and it suits her already somehow. She's teeny (my smallest baby) and sweet and watchful and quiet. I remember those post-partum naming feelings with both my other kids, as well, and I couldn't love their names more or feel they fit them better. I think we made a good choice and I am grateful for your insights and encouragement as we worked through it!

Oh, congratulations!! Beautiful choice. I totally identify with the postpartum doubts. It's hard to think of a newborn as anything but "the baby" until they start engaging with you a little more. Good luck with everything and congrats again!

Congratulations! Lovely name and lovely set... and I hear you on any name sounding arbitrary in the newborn phase!

Mazel tov! It's always nice when a stranger on the internet uses the name you were pulling for! :D
