Still can't decide

Hello everyone, thanks a lot for your replies to my previous post, it helped greatly. At this stage I am thinking between names Alexandra and Anastasia. And still Keira. Please let me know what  you think, help me choose the right one. I want the name to be familiar to everyone, easy to live with.

thanks

I like them in this order Anastasia by far, then Keira, then Alexandra. The main issue I find with Keira is spelling and pronunciation. Anastasia is so pretty though, femine and lots of NN and very classic

Is Anastasia professional sounding you think?

Alexandra can be also called Allie, Alexa, Sandra, Sasha

Yes I think Anastasia is professional sounding, in fact our state premier is Anastasia.  Yes Alexandra  does have lots of NN, but Alex is the first one for it to be shortened to

Basically any name that isn't Dolly or Birdy or Pixie or the like will be professional sounding on the right person. Certainly, all of the names I have seen you consider would be completely unremarkable on a professional woman. Alexandra, Anastasia and Keira are all good names. They have been borne by many, many women of all walks of life.

I have personally never liked Alexandra because it was ubiquitous when I was growing up but that is neither here nor there.

For Anastasia, I like Annie. I also like Nastya, but I don't think it works particularly well in English.

Thanks! Concerning Keira - to be honest I only know Keira Knightly. I am not sure what's the history/origin behind that name. Is it Celtic, Russian or smth else? I find conflicting info on that name in the internet.

Behind the name says modern English, from the Irish ciara

True, thx!

What do you think - which name would raise more eyebrows- Alexandra or Anastasia?

neither.  I still think Anastasia is the prettiest by far

Neither name is startling in a good or bad way. Anastasia is more unusual, but I can't imagine would raise anyone's eyebrows.

Are you trying to find a name for a baby that is already on the way or a hypothetical baby who might be born some time in the future? Anastasia was one of the names that you proposed ages ago. If you still like it and can't seem to let go of it, that says something. It's also my favourite on this list by a lot.

I like that Anastasia is different while still being familiar enough that most people will know it right away.  I love all the nickname potential.  I think it sounds sophisticated and will age well.  I don't know a single person with the name.

Without doing research, I'm guessing Alexandra is more widely used, though that's not necessarily a dealbreaker.  I also don't like the nickname Alex but I'll bet I could think of at least 10 more so definitely it has solid nickname potential.

Keira doesn't really do much for me.  I think it's just a tough one to say/spell if you don't already know how.  Which I suppose, the most important people to her will know that.  So maybe it's not much of a dealbreaker either.

Of the three, I'd probably choose Anastasia.  s
