Titanic

I am very excited to see the re-release of Titanic with my 13-year-old daughter.  I was pregnant with her when it first came out and I seriously considered naming her Rose, so I loved seeing thsi story about the names from Titanic on NameCandy.com today! http://www.namecandy.com/celebrity-baby-names/blog/2012/04/06/titanics-jack-dawson-only-one-of-many-heroes-named-jack

Did you consider Leo, Jack, Rose, or Kate after the movie?

Titanic is my all time favorite movie! I had my first child, a son in 2001 and named him Dawson. We almost named him Jack, but decided on Dawson instead. Our second child, a daughter, I wanted to name Delaney Rose, but my husband got to choose her middle name.

My 13 year old daughter is Rose, after 2 grandmothers. I love the name, and wouldn't mind if a few more Roses were out there.

Nope!  I do not like choosing names other people will be using with regularity.  I like classics that are uncommon.  However, Leo is a family name and Rose goes SOOOOO well with anything as a middle that I would use them if I loved them regardless of the movie and popularity.  :)  Also, Leo is Classic without being common.  I don't know any (besides my FIL who has passed on), definitely do not know any little Leos.  Leo makes a cute nickname but what to use for formal first name???  Leopold?
