Welcoming Th0masina!

Our daughter, Th0masina Ade1e, arrived early this morning, after a long induction with a dramatic end (2 cm to baby in exactly 2 hours, with the anesthesiologist walking in the door right as she arrived). She's quite little but formidable and her long-and-formidable name seems to fit perfectly. The Spouse is using "Tamsin", big brothers are using "Tommie" and "Tamina", one grandparent has declared her intent to call the baby "Sina", and I'm enjoying all four syllables. We're really getting the most out of the name's flexibility! And, the family members who knew the Great Aunt her middle name is after have been very deeply touched, and we're looking forward to sharing stories of her namesake with our little girl. So, all in all, we're really pleased with the baby and name, as both are doing wonderfully. Thanks to everyone on the BNW community for helping name this girl over the years!

Aww, Chimu, big congratulations! Th0masina beat your little guy by two days - she arrived in the wee morning hours of the 11th (3am but GMT -7).

I hope you are settling in smoothly into being a family of four, and also finding that a lot of the newborn stuff goes more easily with subsequent babies. I look forward to hearing which name on your awesome list ends up fitting your little guy best, and I admire you very much for not rushing into things with the name! Enjoy!!

Thanks everyone for the congrats on our babies arrival! I'll start another thread about his name :)

Lucubratix, we were getting some pressure to decide on a name but we stood our ground and took our time. In the end it was me who cracked it at my husband after 10 days and told him we had to decide or he would still be nameless :)

The newborn stuff definitely gets easier with subsequent bubs.  It's also easier to enjoy them when you know how quickly the time passes!

Congratulations!

Lucubratrix, Th0masina is a great name and I love that your family is already test driving lots of the available nicknames. It's fun to have a name that lends itself to that, especially because it lets everyone have a special connection to the new baby.

Chimu, I can't wait to hear what name you choose.

Enjoy your new wee ones, ladies!
