We named our oldest son Bowen beacuse my first ancestor to emmigrate to the United states had the surname "Bowen". It occured to me to use Bowen as a first name after watching the movie Dragonheart. I have since heard of several other Bowens (mainly boys but one girl).
We named one of our twins Bowen after an ancestor of my husband's- Bowen Socwell. We have only met 2 other Bowens to date
