Comments and insights on the name Clark: | Edit

My son's name is Clarke, a variation of my best friend from childhood "Clark". We had a family baby naming contest and his name came in first within our family. To me, his name sounds secure and wise, like someone you can count on for a lifetime. All of my other children (3 others) have fairly common names, but I really like his the best.

Personal experiences with the name Clark: | Edit

My son is the only Clark I know. We get many compliments on his name and have noted several other peoples' intent to name their child Clark, as well.
My name is Clark I went to school with another Clark. I was made fun of for the name. People said it was an old mans name. Or they still call me super man or Griswald. Nobody ever remembers the name either. They call me Carl or Curt. But all and all I love the name. I think it is unique. I have met several Clarks in my life though I have even worked with another Clark
My son's name is Clarke (my mother-in-law's maiden name) and I love it with or without the "e" at the end. We get nothing but compliments. Haven't met any others with this first name.
I am named Clarke, but I'm a girl. Will someone else PLEASE name their baby girl Clarke so I'm not alone in this world?!
