Comments and insights on the name Colt: | Edit

My brother's name is Colt. He was born in January of 1983, and apparently everyone thought my parents were crazy. My Dad is a gun enthusiast and named him after the Colt .357 magnum. All his life, people would ask my brother if he was named after a horse, or a Colt .45. Some people even asked if he was named after the beer! (ugh). There was a movie quite a while back called 3 Ninjas (I think). The kids in the movie got "ninja names" and one of them was Colt. When the other kids in the movie heard this they asked if his parents hated him! :) My brother always seemed to like his name, though, and he was insistent that people know that he was named after the .357 magnum, not any of the other "choices!"
