very unique name. people are intrigued and usually want to have deeper discussion. being named dalton, its easy to say this. when i tell people my name, they're like "woah, never heard that before." and thats a good thing. with a name so rare, you gotta make sure you leave a mark so people dont forget the beautiful face that goes with the name. anybody thinking of a name for a new baby boy, i'd reccommend Dalton, highly. when i was growing up, nobody really made fun of my name. no insults that really go with it. my first boy will definitely be Dalton jr. hope this helped. good luck.
I'll start here as a different Dalton, instead of editing what the previous Dalton had written. I def agree with what he wrote. I have met several other Dalton's in recent years. As a matter of fact, there is another Dalton who works next door to our office. I, as far back as I have been able to go, am the 5th Dalton in a row in my family, and now have an 11 year old son named Dalton as well. He, coincidentally, has a friend that lives one block up named Dalton, and there is apparently even a third Dalton at his school. I have yet to run across anyone who can trace the name that far back in their family as I can. I do like my name, and people are in fact impressed when you introduce yourself. I often get referenced to "the Dalton gang", Patrick Swayze in Raodhouse, Timothy Dalton (James Bond), and Dalton, Georgia.
