It was a known fact that the Gideon from the Bible was left-handed.

We named our first born son Gideon Michael. We have no regrets with this name! Gideon is a very strong and masculine name with a good Biblical heritage. It's also very unique which is definitely a plus in my opinion! Oh, and I found other meanings besides the one listed on this website. They include "mighty man of valor" and "great warrior".

I also have a son named Gideon Patrick. We love it and do not regret it at all. I love it's Biblical meaning and uniqueness. It means Great warrior and Gideon was a great warrior judge in the Old Testament. We feel it's a strong name and fits our son perfectly.

We named our first Gideon Lee. He is 11 now and has a very strong personality and suits his name well. He is also a natural leader.

My first born was named Gideon Raymond. We chose it because it means great warrior, and my son had much to overcome before he was even born. It fitted him perfectly, my boy fought very hard to survive, and although he didn't make it, he was such a great warrior. My little Gideon.
