My son is named Jad....his dad is Lebanese and after our first son (Andrew) he wanted a name that represented his Middle Eastern backgroud. Since I am not Middle Eastern and we already had a last name that was too ethnic I agreed to Jad since it sounded like Chad and was not a very common Middle Eastern name.

Our son is named Jad -- we wanted a unique name that was easy to say and spell. He is definitely the only Jad at his school, which we like!
