Comments and insights on the name Levi: | Edit

Our Kenneth "Levi" was born September 7, 2006. As many of you have mentioned, Levi means "to unite or tie together" and that is exactly what our Levi has done. He has united our two families into one. We have met a few other Levis and the occasional person who jokes about naming him after a pair of jeans, but I love his name! He likes it too and just learned to write it this past week!

August 1. 1991 I gave birth to my son Levi Paz.
Since then, I have only met one other Levi in person.
And I love the fact that my boy Levi loves his name !!

Personal experiences with the name Levi: | Edit

I live in San Francisco. I named my son Levi after his great x4 grandfather when he was born in April 2006. We personally know 2 other Levi's who live near us here in the city--one also born in April and one born in June. My Levi has been in the same daycare/preschool with the other April-born Levi since the time they were 10 months old. Clearly, the name is on the uptake. Go Levi!

My Levi was born in October 31,2006 and at the time the only Levi I knew. Now I see it was fairly popular and I had no idea! I later learned that the name means 'to bring together' and that's exactly what our Levi did to join our two families together. My words exactly, GO LEVI!

Our Levi was born February 4, 2003. He also helped join two families together!
I knew I wanted his middle name to be Christian and it took me a while to come up with a first name I liked with it. The only person I knew (besides Mr. Strauss) with the name was a Jonathon Levi ___ I had gone to school with. But a few years after he was born, we moved near an Amish community, so now he knows a few other Levis! He loves his name, and it really seems to fit him well.

Our Levi was born on February 23rd 2010. My husband's name is Matthew, and Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in the bible - hence why we picked Levi as our son's name. We haven't come across another Levi yet, but the name isn't so unusual that it is unheard of and I like that. It also means 'united' and I feel our little Levi really united us as a family. Plus it sounds so cool and can't really be shortened to anything silly.

Our Levi Jordan was born May 26, 2009. Although we don't know any other Levi's we get lots of people saying they like the name. His older brother is Lincoln. Now if we have a third can we pick another cool L name?
