Comments and insights on the name Max: | Edit

I couldn't put these in real-life namesakes -- but there is a lot of Max in fashion -- BCBG Max Azria; Max Mara; and of course, TJ Maxx!

Max is a nickname for a lot of names, including: Maximo, Maximino, Maximiliano, Maximilian, Maximillian, Maximilien, Maxim, and Maxwell.

Since Max is the name of the main character in Where the Wilds Things Are, I immediately fell in love with it. It has a sense of childhood and emotional strength, power and courage.

Personal experiences with the name Max: | Edit

My cousin just named her twins Abigail Michele and Max Anthony. Although I don't like Michelle with only one "l," I really like the way "Max and Abby" sounds. There was dispute over whether his full name should be Maximus or Maxwell, but they decided Max was enough for him.
