This name is more suitable for a girl then for a boy. << I disagree completely. I love it for a boy!
I like to think that it's a up-and-coming gender-neutral name :) My brother-in-law and his wife just named their first born (girl) "Sawyer Grace" When I show people pictures of her and tell them her name it always gets great compliments.. Rather it's boy or girl, it's a great name!

Commentary on the name Sawyer:
In form, Sawyer fits with preppy surnames like Parker and Spencer, but its spirit is freer. The immortal Tom Sawyer lends the name a warm heart and an eye for mischief. This name was something of a hidden treasure for years, but a character on the tv series "Lost" raised its profile.
